Sorry it’s been so long since I last wrote. Not much has changed in those few days anyway. A few more people know “my secret” including our parents, my grandmother & my real Dad.

Our parents were over the moon! Mum’s reaction to the news was “I knew it! I knew it!” before she even finished reading the card! Told you she was a witch. They congratulated us and gave us both a hug & a kiss. Hubby’s parents were excited too. They read the card and I think it took a moment to sink in what the card was all about. “Oh! Congratulations!” Hug, hug, kiss, kiss. Everyone was happy. Which is what we expected anyway. My Grandmother is over the moon. She’s been waiting for a long time become a ‘GREAT-Grandmother’! I must have JUST hung up from her and she was on the phone to my Uncle & his partner, Carolyn. Carolyn called me this morning to congratulate us and said she already has a big bundle of things to send me. Just last year she gave birth to my only cousin on my Dad’s side, Corey Luke. I also told Dad who seemed excited but how can you tell from an SMS message how a person is feeling? There were no !!exclamation marks!! so either he doesn’t know how to use them or he’s just not one to show his emotion via SMS. I really don’t have a lot to with my Dad but I’m over it. He’s had quite a few years to get to know me but he never made the effort. Anyway, this is not going to turn into an “I hate my father” emo blog…

I’m still waiting for the results of my second lot of blood tests. I might call the surgery tomorrow to see if they’ve arrived. It’s amazing how much this little tiny being takes over your life and that’s even before it’s BORN!

It's Cup Day! I drew horse 22 out of the sweeps, Activation. 22 is MEANT to be my lucky number but not today. A few of us dressed up for Cup Day and we went out to lunch. It was nice. I wish we all could have taken the afternoon off but no such luck. Here is a photo of me in my Cap Day gear.
