Who am I? I am many things but first and foremost, I am the wife of Keith and the mother of two little boys, Harley and Levi. I am also a WAHM, an avid reader, experimental cook, self-confessed geek, couch potato, Facebook addict, digital scrapbooker and of course, a blogger.

28 weeks 1 day

Thursday 12 April 2007

Yesterday I had to do the glucose test as I'm at 28 weeks. 30 minutes before the appointment I had to drink this stuff that looked disgusting but just tasted like flat lemonade. My test went well, although they had to jab me THREE TIMES before they found an open vein which has never happened before. Normally my veins are very co-operative but not yesterday. One nurse tried both arms and said that’s her limit so went and got another nurse to try. The new nurse wiped the alcohol over the last two needle holes which bloody hurt more than the needle! I haven’t heard back yet so hopefully no news is good news. Got to hear Bub's HB again which is always good. He was rather quiet all morning and I mentioned that to the doc but as soon as she stuck the Doppler on me, he went nuts and she could see the kicks. She said he sure is giving you the boot now! Ahh yeah? Try feeling these from the INSIDE! :S

On the work front, my replacement started yesterday. He seems to be coping OK so far but time will tell. My job is definately not rocket science but you do need half a brain to be competent. My boss is up to help with the training which is good. We haven't managed to scare the newbie away (yet) which is also good! :)

I'm really looking forward to maternity leave now. I think I've had enough of waddling up and down the stairs all day.

Only 5 weeks to go (and counting...)!
