This is what Harley has been saying for about a week now. It's adorable! I should try and catch it on video. It's mainly Dad Dad and Bub Bub though. Mum only gets a mention when he's cranky - "Muuuuum!" I've been picking up on other "words" in his sounds too but I doubt he'll actually be speaking properly and making associations for a little while. It's still cute though! :)
He's sitting up on his own now but still not crawling yet. He gets onto his belly and flaps his arms and legs like he's doing breaststroke but that's it! A friend suggested taking him to playgroup so he can watch how the other kids do it and learn that way. GREAT idea. I've been meaning to take him to playgroup for the last 3 months but in a nutshell, I'm just too lazy! I'm definately going the week after next though. I can't go next week as I'm still not allowed to lift him up (Mum's flying up tomorrow for the week). I quite look forward to it myself as it gives me a chance to catch up with the girls too while Harls has some interaction with other babies. This he really needs as he's started crying at the sound of any other baby nearby. Jaxson came over last night and he was making a noise, not even a cry, just a baby noise, and Harley freaked out, yet again! It's my own stupid fault though. He doesn't see other babies apart from when I take him to the shopping centre and even then that's not really direct contact. If I ever want to get him into child care, I have to get him used to kids! So as of the week after next, we're going to make playgroup a regular thing. For both of our well being!
On another note, I'm recovering well from the surgery last week. The wounds are healing well, although very ITCHY, but nothing to stress about. No-one can believe the size of the stones they pulled out of the gall bladder! Great effort 'eh?
