Who am I? I am many things but first and foremost, I am the wife of Keith and the mother of two little boys, Harley and Levi. I am also a WAHM, an avid reader, experimental cook, self-confessed geek, couch potato, Facebook addict, digital scrapbooker and of course, a blogger.

All is well in Uteroland!

I had my 16 week checkup today at the Birth Centre and all is well with Puggles. We did the paperwork (boring!) and then got to the fun part of listening for the heartbeat. I was just about to tell the student midwife (attending the usual midwife) that she may have some trouble locating it due to the anterior placenta but nope. I think I got our "You may have some troub..." and there it was! That beautiful sound that I will never tire of. She picked it up right away, a wonderful strong heartbeat between 150 & 160 bpm.

We also discussed breastfeeding and how I'd really like to make a go of it this time since I didn't have much say last time. Hopefully this time I'll be a "milker" as my husband so eloquently puts it. LOL I'm going to attend the class and do as much reading as I can but all of that means diddly squat if I'm not making enough milk again. I managed to feep Harls exclusively for 6 weeks before I had to progress onto formula as he just wasn't gaining enough weight. Fingers crossed I won't have that problem this time though!

Checkup Stats
BP:
100/60
Weight:
66kg (What the...? I lost weight?)
Heartbeat:
150-160bpm
