I've been so excited about possibly giving birth at the birth centre here in Mackay and I'm so happy to say they called me today to say I have a place!!! The booking interview is this Thursday! It was so funny. The number came up as 'Private' and I usually don't answer them thinking it's a telemarketer so when I answered she said "Hi it's [Name] from the Birth Centre." I said "Oh good! I nearly didn't answer your call thinking you were going to try and sell me something." She said "Well not really but I am calling to say you've won something in a way. A place here at the B/C!"
This place is quite hard to get into so to be granted a place is just awesome! I only hope stay to stay a low risk patient now.
